Dear Everyone in the West High Community,

My name is Nolan Carpenter, and I am the editor-in-chief of The Red and Black. On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to start by wishing everyone safety and comfort in these troubling times. This is a new experience for all of us, and I know that if we work together by following guidelines from the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, and our local and state governments, we will get through this.

Our staff has been working very hard to continue to report on original West High news during this pandemic. There has been some delay, as everyone is getting accustomed to working from home, but we are joyed to continue bringing you quality coverage of events and experiences from our panther family. Since we will not be printing issues during this time, we will be publishing all of our articles directly to the website and will be updating our social media as well.
